Description

This module introduces students to key qualitative methodologies in educational research. Specific methodologies will be described and their strengths and limitations discussed. Thus there will be sessions dealing with ethnography, action research, case study, auto/biographical research, historical research, narrative and fictional approaches, interviewing, questionnaire construction and design, observational studies and comparative studies. These sessions will be led by experienced researchers who will draw on their own work as illustration.
